SDSCPA Arts Group Project-Period 6
Elegance of the ArtsReflection: Within the photo "Elegance of the Arts", me and my group used a shutter speed of 250 a f-stop of 8. We decided to use this title because it expresses the radiance of the photo and it also has diversity as well. This assignment with the strobe was exciting since I've never done it before and the experience was worthwhile. At first I thought the strobe box would be hard to assemble and disassemble, but after asking my group I was able to refresh my mind in order to figure out what to do with the strobe. We had a difficulty taking the shot because the plug that was connected to the box to the camera kept on falling off and getting the models to get in the right position was difficult. We decided to make the dancer the focal point because we felt that by doing so the picture would turn out more elegant. The rest of the arts were painting, photography, and instrumental music. These arts represent our school and make it worthwhile. The best part that I like about this picture is the photographer focusing his camera on the dancer, this displays that the dancer is the focal point of the photo. In addition the dancer's pose set the photo into a great picture. We wanted to display the models into this position in order to make the photo more elegant. This was done intentionally because we wanted to display a good perspective of the arts at our school. Hopefully in the future, me and my group will be able to experience the moment again, but with a different subject.

6 Week Progress/Mural Project- Period 7
During the first six weeks of the semester, I have helped research some of the things that were going to be put on the wall. In addition I have created a stencil, but I haven't finished it and I have created a sketch for the theme we were going to do. I made a tree and thought of the idea of having masks as the bark of the tree.
In RoadTripNation, I have finished all of the lessons, 7 out of 7.
I haven't enrolled in San Diego Community College, but hopefully I'll remember to do it.

Brushes Assignment- Period 6
Reflection: Within the "brushes assignment", I had a difficult time getting my composition to be what I wanted it to be. The thing was that I didn't exactly know what I wanted in the picture. I knew that we had to make ourselves the focal point, but getting the right amount of colors and the specific type of brush was the difficult thing. During the process, I believe I got the hang of the brushes, but I still had trouble getting the supportive colors and brushes. I decided to use green and black because the colors seem to have a great mixture and the contrast seemed to go along. My idea was to get some circles that had repetition so I decided to use green circles in the middle and black circles on the bottom. Afterward the top of the picture seemed too plain so I wanted to get something that would support the focal point. Using the ink brushes, I felt like that was the best part of the photo, even though the focal point is supposed to be the best part. After putting a couple of ink brushes on the top, I decided to use the eraser to remove some of the ink that was used in order to portray a blackish smoky substance on the top. By doing so, I was able to make the photo somewhat dirty. Overall I had a difficult time doing this assignment and I felt like composing the photo was chaotic. In the future, I would definitely like to do more of these assignment because by doing more, I would get a better idea of composing my work and will most likely help me in the future.
