Portrait Assignment-Period 6
Reflection: Within my Portrait Assignment I used a regular point and shoot camera, however I used a light card to get that glimpse of light on Mark's face. Since I didn't have a camera to use during the break, I had to use a camera at school to take a picture of the subject. This portrait assignment felt like another assignment that was given to me without much explanation, however the experience was somewhat interesting. The photo isn't really a portrait because of the people that were in the background, but I consider it as a portrait. I like the glimpse that hit the right side of Mark's face. I understand that the photo I took wasn't really a portrait, but I wanted to display Mark's originality and essence, however the task was incomplete because I didn't have enough ideas to express that. I would like to do more portraits in the future but with a better camera and background. This was done intentionally but now that I think of it, the photo isn't what I expected. My work was unsuccessful because I wasn't able to display Mark's essence.
